A Welcome Break

Now that finals have been completed for a week and I’ve had some time to relax and knit (these two things are actually synonymous), I am ready for a couple posts about what I’ve been up to.

I did do some studying for my finals (this is pretty rare) and so far my grades have been pretty good! I’m still waiting on the verdict from my most difficult class, but my other grades are 3 “A’s” and 1 “A-“. Only 1 semester to go before I get to wear the cap and gown! May 12, 2007, Wohoo!

I finished the socks for my brother-in-law on time for the celebration on Dec. 3 but apparently never took a picture of the finished product. I also finished my Jaywalker’s the next weekend.

This is my hubby and I at the Science Museum (and the sock) and my finished pair chillin’ on the Christmas Tree.

I also decided that I needed a fun & warm pair of mittens so I adapted the mitten pattern I used for my dad’s mittens (from the last post).

I used Cascade Yarns “Venezia” a 70% merino wool/30% silk blend and Artful Yarns “Portrait” a 70% mohair blend. These are very warm!

I think that’s about it for now! Off to tackle laundry and Christmas presents!
